About The Lineup Is

The Lineup Is is a free iPhone app from The Lineup Is LLC that ranks every sports game across about 60 leagues by an importance score. It is not affiliated with thelineup.com or any other product named "The Lineup."

It answers one question: of all the games on today, which are actually worth watching?

Every day there are dozens — sometimes hundreds — of games across the NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, college football, basketball and baseball, the big soccer leagues and cups, Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, ATP and WTA tennis, and the PGA and LPGA tours. The Lineup Is scores every one of them with an eleven-factor Lineup score, ranks the day's slate, and tells you in plain English why each game matters. Set your own bar and we tell you when a game clears it, with a notification and a Live Activity that starts itself on your lock screen; weight the leagues and teams however you watch. It shows live scores, unless you turn on Hide Scores, which keeps them off the app, the lock screen, notifications, widgets and Siri. Every game gets a two-sentence read grounded in the real state of the season, and the app adapts to how much of a fan you are — Casual, Balanced, or Hardcore.

It's free to download and use on iOS 18 or later. Pro ($4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan) adds every game's read and all eleven factors, alerts for every game above your bar, Live Activities for any game you pick, a custom bar, league weights and unlimited teams. An Android version is in the works.

A note on the name

"The Lineup" is a common name. This is The Lineup Is — the sports watchability app at thelineup.is. We're not affiliated with the dance-costume brand, the true-crime content site, the 1958 film, any baseball or field-hockey team-management app, or the soccer lineup-builder tools that share the name. If you're looking for the app that tells you which games are worth watching, you're in the right place.
